Generalizations in this type of writing aren't something that makes a person want to continue to read the piece.

• Construct a piece with rhythm and pace, not have every sentence begin with "I".
• Fact check any facts that I use in my essay.
• Create an essay that isn't more of a rant, the person who reads it should know where I stand on the topic and why.
