Top 100 Photos- Pillars of Creation



1. Why did you pick this image? What caught your eye? I picked this image because I really like all of the colors that are in this photo. This picture caught my eye because it is one of the only color photos that are in the Top 100 Photos category.

2. Summarize what you read. How about 2-3 sentences explaining the photo. The Hubble Space Telescope was over-budget and behind schedule. When it was sent into orbit, one of the mirrors distorted. The telescope was repaired in 1993, and was brought online in 1995. The black part of the photo in the top right is from the magnification of one of the telescope's four cameras
